Despite having no farming experience, Jeremy Clarkson decided he would run his 1,000-acre farm and documented the process for the new Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm. The Grand Tour host quickly ran into trouble and enlisted Kaleb Cooper’s help but was far from impressed when the farm manager soaked him with water.

In the sixth episode, Jeremy battled against the elements to save his crops, in particular, his pumpkins.

However, his solution of purchasing a vacuum slurry tanker didn’t quite go to plan.

He explained: “To me, the job as simple, hitch the tanker to my tractor and fill it up from my big stream.

“I love being in my Lamborghini, it’s like a hay fever capsule, no pollen allowed.”

“Kaleb however said the job would be difficult as my tractor wouldn’t be able to reach the big stream,” he said.

Jeremy appeared to get his tractor to the right place but Kaleb soon signalled for Jeremy to stop.

“If he says my tractor is too big, I’m going to kill him,” the former Top Gear host said.

“It’s too b****y big, you’re catching it on the trees, you’re going to take the beacon off,” Kaleb said.

Once Kaleb removed the tractor’s beacon, Jeremy squeezed the vehicle through to the water.

“Oh, this is tight,” Jeremy commented. “Well, you can’t be a pumpkin farmer without breaking a few branches.”

Before the pair had even got the contraption going, Kaleb pointed out Jeremy would struggle to get the tractor back to the field.

However, the pair soon carried on with the job at hand and filled the tanker with water from the stream.

“With the tanker full it was time to switch off and disengage,” Jeremy narrated.

But, Jeremy was accidentally soaked as the water came splurging back out of the machine.

“You rural halfwit!” Jeremy exclaimed and Kaleb remarked: “I pressed the wrong button.”

As the presenter prepared to return the tractor to the pumpkin patch, Jeremy asked: “Which way do I turn the steering wheel to reverse it?”

“I can’t tell you, you just have to know,” Kaleb said and Jeremy hit back: “Well, unfortunately, I don’t know.”

“We’re going to be here a while,” Kaleb joked as he tried to direct Jeremy.

“If at first you don’t succeed, sod it give it to a teenager,” the former Top Gear presenter quipped.

Luckily, The Grand Tour host returned to the field with 1,000 gallons of water.

Clarkson’s Farm is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
