Yellowstone season three proved to fans that no character is safe, as the Duttons themselves were subject to a coordinated attack. The fates of John (played by Kevin Costner), Kayce (Luke Grimes), and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) are all hanging in the balance ahead of season four. However, Costner recently made a comment which suggests Jimmy Hurdstrom (Jefferson White) could be the next to go in the Paramount Network show.

Has Kevin Costner confirmed Jimmy’s death?

Yellowstone fans have been trying to piece together any information they can about season four following the release of the first trailer.

The details surrounding season four have been scarce, with the Paramount Network keeping the details of the next season hidden.

After season three, viewers were left with an agonising cliffhanger in which the Duttons were subject to a coordinated attack.

John and Kayce had been shot, while Beth was caught in the middle of an explosion.

All the Duttons will make an appearance in season four, though, with John once again leading the family through their age-old conflicts.

Even if the Duttons all make it out of this dire situation alive, it doesn’t mean the rest of the orbiting characters will.

In the final moments of season three, John warned Jimmy not to get back on the horse as it could lead to another trip to the ICU.

Jimmy had been suffering in the past, though this time it quickly took a turn for the worse.

The last episode of the third season all but confirmed Jimmy sustained more life-threatening injuries and the latest teaser left no room for doubt.

In a rare moment on social media, Costner actually acknowledged the latest teaser for the fourth season.

The teaser was shared to the Yellowstone Instagram account, with the caption: “Jimmy broke his promise to John Dutton. Find out which road he ends up on in the #YellowstoneTV season 4 premiere November 7.”

Replying to the post, Costner wrote: “Pity the man who breaks a promise to John Dutton.”

Costner is referencing the fact Jimmy ignored John’s advice and rode out regardless.

The teaser shows Jimmy in a critical condition in hospital, with what looks to be a broken neck.

White also commented on the post, fanning the flames for a potential tragic moment in season four.

White commented: “We’ve come a long way together – hold on a little longer!!”

All will be revealed when season four premieres on November 7, but Jimmy’s potential death could be the tip of the iceberg.

Fans have also been concerned for Beth, who seemed to get the worst of the season three finale attack.

With the bomb exploding right next to her, directly in her office, it is hard to imagine she has escaped it without some major injuries.

Beth will return in season four, but her fate remains to be seen.

Yellowstone season four will premiere on November 7 on the Paramount Network in the USA. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
