Who killed Elena in The Undoing?

SKY'S The Undoing has got viewers wrapped up in a star-studded whodunnit.

The series centres around the violent murder of a women within a wealthy New York community.

Who killed Elena in The Undoing?

That depends on who you ask.

Jonathan Fraser, played by Hugh Grant, is currently in prison after being arrested on suspicion of murdering Elena Alves.

However, Jonathan has vehemently denied that he murdered Elena.

Although, to make things more complicated he did admit to his wife Grace that he had been having an affair with Elena.

But with three more episodes left to air, it doesn't seem like the case is that simple.

Viewers have speculated on social media that the killer is none other than Grace's father, Franklin, who is framing Jonathan.

What's happened in The Undoing?

The series begins focusing on married couple Grace and Jonathan Fraser, who live an idyllic life in New York with their son, Henry.

Grace is a high-profile couples therapist and and her husband Jonathan is a wealthy pediatric oncologist.

Their seemingly happy life comes crashing down when Grace meets a woman named Elena at a committee meeting at the prestigious school that their sons both attend.

Grace feels uncomfortable when Elena seems strangely interested in her but tries her best to be nice.

But everything unravels when Elena is found murdered in her salon in the first episode.

The murder investigation begins and Grace comes to suspect her own husband – who, it transpires, was having an affair with Elena and was out of town without his mobile phone at the time of her murder.

In the third episode, we saw Jonathan arrested and thrown behind bars for Elena's murder – but police inform Grace that she too is a suspect.

A teaser clip ahead of the fourth episode shows a nervous-looking Jonathan receive a chilling death threat from his father-in-law Franklin.

Franklin warned: "Should you do anything to further harm my daughter, I will track you down, and I will kill you myself."

The clip also shows Franklin questioning daughter Grace if she is going to forgive Jonathan and go back to being a normal family again.

When is it on TV?

The fourth episode of the series will continue TONIGHT (November 16, 2020) at 9pm on Sky Atlantic.

Episodes are also available to watch on Now TV.

The series has six episodes in total.
