This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were the subjects of ice sculptures on the morning show, to the amusement of fans.

Despite being made by the team behind Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland Magic Ice Kingdom, Holly's sculpture looked like something out of a nightmare.

The two giant head sculptures sat on the This Morning set alongside Phil and Holly and left fans in stitches while the duo spoke to their designer.

Holly's sculpture featured lined-out teeth which grimaced alongside wide eyes which had small Mickey Mouse emblems inside the pupils.

Fans couldn't take the segment seriously and many took to Twitter to poke fun at the 'horrific' sculpture.

One fan wrote: "I can't stop laughing…not at all sure on the teeth on these ice sculptures. I'd get the hair dryer out. #ThisMorning."

Another added: "Just turned on to see Holly's face in ice. That's going to give me nightmares. #ThisMorning."

One simply wrote: "Jesus Christ poor Holly.. #ThisMorning."

A fourth social media user believed the ice sculpture to be a prank played by ITV bosses.

They wrote: "Ice sculptures have got to be a behind the scenes wind up surely."

Holly, who normally looks fantastic on the morning show and even has a hashtag for her outfits, looked miles apart from her sculpted self.

Luckily, the ice sculptures don't last long, according to designers. Although they took two days to make, the surface detail melts off within two to three hours and the whole thing will melt within the space of a day.

Despite the unfortunate portraits, the only thing Phil had eyes for was the quality. The host liked the crystal clear ice and said he wanted personal ice cubes shipped over to enjoy with gin.

Although the ice sculptures were not a fan favourite, the Hyde Park Magical Ice Kingdom is impressive.

With over 500 tonnes of ice and snow, visitors can check out the ice world at Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland.

Tickets are £8 for adults and £6.50 for children. The Kingdom features castles, palaces and even a giant snow dragon.

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV and the ITVHub
