‘The Pioneer Woman’: Ree Drummond Once Admitted She 'Definitely' Adds Too Much of This to Her Coffee06/24/2021
Ree Drummond has become known for her easy, hearty recipes. Though The Pioneer Woman star appears effortless in front of the camera, it turns out she’s just like most people: She runs on coffee.
Drummond loves incorporating coffee into her recipes, too — but when it comes to how she takes her morning beverage, she once said she “definitely” adds too much of a good thing.

At this point, Drummond has created too many recipes to count. The Food Network star has hosted her own television show since 2011, and she’s been whipping up recipes for fans on her blog since 2006. Over the years, Drummond has perfected some of her favorite dishes. And with that, she’s sure to incorporate her favorite beverage anywhere she can.
Drummond has created plenty of recipes that feature coffee. Some are more traditional, such as tiramisu and coffee ice cream. Other times, Drummond adds coffee to something a bit more unconventional, such as her chocolate dessert recipes — she frequently adds coffee to her homemade brownies.
In a 2012 interview with Imbibe, Drummond once explained why she loves to use coffee as an ingredient. “I just love the depth of flavor it adds,” she said. “I really can’t think of too many things I wouldn’t put coffee with.”
Ree Drummond admitted she ‘definitely’ adds too much cream to her coffee
Drummond has never been shy about her coffee addiction. And it turns out she likes it hot and iced — at different times of day, though.
“I wake up every morning with iced coffee, so that’s kind of my poison,” Drummond told Imbibe. She admitted that she switches to the hot beverage as the day goes on. But when it comes to hot coffee, Drummond might add too much of a good thing.
“I love hot coffee later in the day, though I definitely over-cream it,” she said. “I always joke when I order my coffee that I’d like just a little bit of coffee with my cream.”
Drummond knows what she likes, and while cream isn’t the most low-calorie option to add to coffee, it certainly gives it a richer flavor than plain old milk.
Ree Drummond sometimes spices up her coffee with whiskey
When Drummond is feeling wild, she’ll add more than just some cream to her drink; she even goes so far as include whiskey. However, that’s only a once-in-a-while choice.
When asked what drinks keep her “cozy,” Drummond explained that she sometimes breaks out the alcohol and adds it to her coffee.
“I make this really decadent coffee drink with dulce de leche, whiskey, and fresh whipped cream — it’s divine,” she said.
Drummond likely won’t ever give up her coffee, and she wasn’t shy about admitting that she has several cups throughout the day.
