Spoilers: Jack dumps Denise in sad split in EastEnders10/23/2020
Denise Fox’s (Diane Parish) potential reunion with her son Raymond after he lost his adoptive parents looks set to cost her her relationship in EastEnders – when Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) declares that they are over.
The turn of events comes after Denise joined forces with Raymond’s dad Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to fight Ellie Nixon (Mica Paris) for custody of Raymond when it turned out that she is a dangerous criminal and Raymond’s lost family were caught in the crossfire of a revenge attack.
With Phil funding the legal fees, Denise now hopes to have Raymond with her but understands that there may still be reprisal from Ellie. Meanwhile, an uncomfortable Jack has decisions to make as Amy continues to play up at school.
Denise asks Jack if she can set up a bed for Raymond at his house but he is distracted as he finds a note from Amy’s teacher requesting a meeting that day.
Later Jack seeks fatherly advice from Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths), who is struggling with his grief. His advice is to put the kids first so Jack later tells Denise that she’s got to take care of Raymond but he can’t have Phil around when he needs to take care of Amy – being together won’t work.
Meanwhile, Phil executes his plan to frame Ellie unless she hands over Raymond – but will this really be enough for her to drop the fight? Or will Denise be the one in the firing line as Ellie takes revenge for Phil getting the upper hand?
