Snowfall fans ‘distraught’ over season 6 finale ending

Official trailer for Snowfall – Season 6

WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for the Snowfall season six finale.

FX’s Snowfall concluded this week with a heartwrenching season six finale.

Franklin Saint (played by Damson Idris), who fans first met on a warm summer day full of promise and big dreams, ended the series on the same street hopeless and deprived.

Franklin’s last scene showed him walking away from his final possession – his mother’s house – as officers from the L.A. Sheriff’s Department swooped in to evict him because of his unpaid taxes.

Prior to this, Franklin’s mother Cissy (played by Michael Hyatt) ended up in prison after killing Teddy (Carter Hudson) before he could get back half of his stolen funds, marking the point of no return for her character.

Just when fans thought things couldn’t get much worse, Franklin later learned Veronique took most of his remaining money and left to raise their child in another country.

Following the emotional rollercoaster Snowfall’s season six finale took, star Isaiah John paid a sweet tribute to fans, thanking them for their support throughout the season.

The actor who plays Leon Simmons shared a handful of retro snaps from the set of Snowfall with his co-star Idris.

He wrote the caption: “What a ride. Thank you to everyone who tuned in over the years. Love to everyone.”

The star was inundated with messages as fans praised him for his “outstanding” performance, whilst noting how emotional the ending was.
