Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy's finances hit hard by coronavirus lockdown

PETER Crouch landed a primetime BBC TV show in the middle of lockdown but it seems the pandemic has hit his and his missus’ Abbey Clancy’s finances hard.

The pair have told their accountants that their lucrative modelling work, TV and radio appearances and endorsements dried up due to the nation hitting a standstill.

Britain’s Next Top Model star Abbey has filed the accounts from her firm Abigail Marie Clancy Ltd, and Pete from his books at Baseforce Ltd, and their balance sheet shows their profits for next year will be down.

A note on both their books reads: “Due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in March 2020, all non-essential businesses and shops were closed.

“The associated ‘lockdown’ has had an effect on the company’s operations after the balance sheet date resulting in a sharp down in its revenues.”

The couple, who wed in 2011 and have four kids, aren’t too down on their luck however.

Combined, the businesses both had over £2.5million in the accounts and Abbey and Pete’s property business is going from strength to strength.

An insider added: “Buying swanky houses is popular among high-worth individuals who want to put their money into ventures which are a safe bet when it comes to securing a big return.

“It is a case of the more you invest, the more you get back. Especially in London.”

It’s alright for some.
