Not all is as it seems as Coronation Street star unveils dramatic new look05/31/2022
Coronation Street’s Rob Mallard left fans incredibly confused after sharing a selfie, in which he is sporting long curly hair.
The actor, who plays Daniel Osbourne in the ITV soap, looked totally different to his cobbles counterpart with his long locks, which essentially appeared out of thin air.
The 29-year-old, as viewers know, has been on our screens in recent weeks, and there is not a sign of him growing his hair out.
‘This can’t be real surely? 🤔,’ wrote one confused fan on social media. ‘how do you play your part in Corrie when your hair ain’t that long in it?’
‘No no no!!! Take it off right now,’ added another.
Some social media users, however, were quick to work out that Rob had used a filter to add his long hair.
So it’s not actually real!
Daniel, meanwhile, has had a lot to cope with in Coronation Street as of late, and last week, he gave up his dream of being a teacher.
Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) offered him support, before revealing that she thinks they could have a future together.
‘It’s that pre-made, packaged family,’ actress Kimberly told Metro.co.uk. ‘We’ve got to remember that Nicky has been deprived of that family picture, that thing that we’re all striving for that we all believe we deserve, which is love and companionship and security.
‘ She looks at it, and right now it looks like a postcard and she wants that destination, that’s what she sees. Whether he’s the right person for her or not, I don’t know!
‘But he’s the closest thing she’s had to it in absolute years and years and years and of course she’s going to go for that, of course she will naturally want to gravitate towards that.’
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
