Neighbours posts cast photo from soap's last episode – and it's full of legends | The Sun

SOAP stars walked the set of Neighbours for the last time on June 10, 2022 and a picture of their final day has been released.

The Australian show was given the axe after less than four decades on the air.

Neighbours favourites Ian Smith, Jackie Woodburne, Melissa Bell and Ryan Moloney, amongst many others, waved a final goodbye to Ramsay Street.

All actors of the iconic program filmed their last ever scenes on the Kennedy set, in Melbourne, on Friday.

The day was immortalised in a single shot of the main and guest cast that brought the fictional suburb of Erinsborough to life.

While emotions undoubtedly ran high under the limelight, most members of the Neighbours line-up, both legendary and new, are seen smiling broadly at the camera.

"We all knew this day was coming but until we were here in this moment when the very last scene was filmed, it was hard to express how we would all feel", said executive producer Jason Herbison.

"Of course, it is sad and tears were shed, but we’re also enormously proud. 37 years is an incredible achievement and that should be celebrated."
