Neighbours fans 'work out' why Kylie Minogue said so little in soap's finale | The Sun

NEIGHBOURS ended with a double-episode special on Friday which featured star-studded cameos from Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan.

Viewers went wild when they saw the characters Scott and Charlene back on Ramsey Street – but some were left unimpressed after millions tuned in to see the pair say "I do" back over 30 years ago.

Neighbours first aired in 1985 and followed the cul-de-sac community of Ramsay Street within the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough.

Some fans, however, were left "deeply disappointed" by what happened when Scott and Charlene stepped foot on the famous road again.

As they arrived on the street, Especially for You – their duet as Kylie and Jason – was heard playing on the radio.

And when they stopped and pulled up, they remarked on all the for-sale signs on the houses.

Declaring they were home, Scott leaned in to kiss Charlene on the head in a sweet moment.

"Wow, wow, wow," Scott said as they stepped out of the car, before adding: "This is crazy. We made it, eh?"

Charlene then declares: "Home sweet home."

And in one of the final scenes, Jane and Charlene reunited with a hug as Scott could be seen running to join them as they celebrated being back at the place where they found love together.

Kylie's lack of lines left many watching felt let down, whilst others believed they had figured out the reason why.

Alongside an array of angry-faced emojis, one person penned: "Was Kylie's fee per word too high or did she not have much time to rehearse? She barely spoke!"

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Kylie Minogue definitely got paid by the word there didn’t she" followed by a crying laughing emoji."
