Nadia Sawalha blasts Matt Hancock affair in sweary rant – saying her 'heart breaks' for families of Covid victims

NADIA Sawalha has delivered a scathing attack on Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock following the scandalous revelation of Matt’s rule-breaking affair.

The Loose Women star took to social media to compare the actions of Boris Johnson to those of North Korea, Russia and China.

Nadia, 56, said: “I am sure we will still be expected to stick to all the rules and make our teenagers stick to all the rules, and our kids stick to all the rules, while these f***ers continually break them.

“I don’t give a damn if anyone out of the government breaks a rule, it’s none of my business, I don’t care.

"But when the guy who stood on that podium week after week – with his family values face, and with his doing the right thing and pull together message – is groping someone who he has given a contract to in his ministerial office and the prime minister yet again comes out and says I accept his apology and the case is now closed.

“Who the hell does Boris Johnson think he is to think that we are going to accept that the case is closed. We had it with Dominic Cummings and it was too much, way too much, but to do it again…

"Boris 100% believes that he and his cabinet can do whatever the f**k they like as long as he comes out at the end of it and says ‘this is now closed.’”

Nadia went on to tell her 412,000 Instagram followers that she had been listening to stories on the radio from callers that had lost loved ones to covid and were furious with Boris Johnson and Matt Hancock.

She added: “Come on guys, are we going to let the matter now be closed like we live in North Korea or Russia, or China, where everybody is told how to behave, how to think, and somebody else – the big guy at the top – decides when the matter is closed.

“If we accept this this time then there is something severely wrong with us, there really is… we cannot keep on being told that there is a different rule for all of us… When are we going to say enough is enough?

"What are you going to do Matt Hancock when we have another wave in autumn and you want us all to lockdown and not see our families, not hug…”

Her followers praised her for speaking out, including This Morning host Alison Hammond who replied: "Preach".

Reality TV star Charlotte Dawson typed: "Couldn’t of said it better myself"

As her Loose Women co-star Denise Welch raged: "Keep shouting Nads!!! I’ve felt this anger for many many months!!! They have been allowed too much power and we are going to have to fight them tooth and nail to win back our freedoms. How dare they treat us like this."

Other stars to have ripped into the government’s handling of the rule-breaking include Ashley Cain’s girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee.

The couple recently lost their eight-month old baby Azaylia following a battle with leukemia. Safiyya took to Instagram to explain her disappointment in the government after her family had spent difficult months following the rules.
