04/18/2023A MAN has been arrested following the death of a doorman at former Towie star Elliott Wright’s Costa del Sol restaurant.
It comes after a manhunt was launched earlier today after the death of the bouncer who died as he tried to break up a fight.
Sources have described the suspect as an Irish national, although there has not yet been any official confirmation of his nationality.
A Civil Guard spokesman confirmed: “We have arrested a man.”
He was unable to offer any immediate details about his age or nationality or the reason for his arrest, although he is thought to have been held on suspicion of manslaughter.
The detention took place around 2pm today at an undisclosed destination in the province of Malaga.

The arrest comes after vandals targeted Olivia’s La Cala restaurant and spray-painted offensive graffiti just two days after doorman Jose Rafael Pisani Pardo, 55, died in intensive care.
Wright kept the restaurant closed out of respect and said that his “heart was broken” following the staff member's death.
The dad-of-two- had reportedly been pushed or punched and lost his balance as he tried to break up an argument.
Bodybuilder and personal trainer Jose, was declared brain dead and had a life support machine switched off after being left seriously injured, sources said.

The dad-of-two is said to have hit his head as he crashed to the ground.
He was knocked unconscious and evacuated in a serious condition to a hospital in Malaga where he was admitted to intensive care.
One said: “The local reports talk of a group of people fighting but it was between two people.
“The doorman went down as he tried to eject one of the two men.”
Another added: “Elliott had a great relationship with the dead man and is devastated at what’s happened.
“He had worked for him for two years.
“There was an argument between two people in the restaurant and he’s fallen on the floor and hit his head after intervening.
“It looks like he slipped after one of the guys he was kicking out pushed or punched him but that's something the police are still investigating.
“He landed awkward and banged his head as he fell backwards.
“The ambulance took about 45 minutes to an hour to come and he was rushed to hospital.
“He had swelling on the brain and brain damage because of a lack of oxygen and they said at the hospital he was brain dead.
“They switched the machines off on Sunday.
“Earlier the same day police took all the camera footage away and took down statements from the staff.”
The Venezuelan-born doorman succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
His mourning son, Fabriccio, paid tribute online to his "great father" who taught him "to be the man he is today".
He wrote: "Rest in peace dad, my father did his best to get his family through very tough times and thank god he was able to pass me everything I needed to be the man I am today."
And personal trainer Romina Acuna described her new fitness-fanatic husband as the “love of my life” in an emotional social media post.
Olivia’s said in a statement: “This weekend we lost a much loved and valued member of our team.
