'Little People, Big World': Some Fans Left Roloff Farms Disappointed Over High Prices in 2021

10/24/2021

Little People, Big World fans know all about Roloff Farms. Matt Roloff fully took over the property after co-sharing it with Amy Roloff for over three decades. Despite the couple’s divorce, the farm remains open to visitors during October every year. But now, some fans of the reality series voiced their concerns over visiting after they alleged the prices increased from years past. Here’s what they said.

Where is Roloff Farms? Fans can visit the ‘Little People, Big World’ farm

Matt Roloff and Amy Roloff purchased Roloff Farms together in 1990, and the property sits just 15 miles West of Portland, Oregon. In 2021, the property spans 100 acres. But when the Roloff family bought Roloff Farms, it was just 21 acres, according to Amy.

“We bought a 21-acre farm, and I chose to be a stay-at-home mom to raise our family,” Amy explained on Little People, Big World. ” … Years later, we bought a 75-acre farm property right next door to make a total of 108 acres we both owned.”

In 2021, a lot changed with the farm. Amy sold her half of the property to Matt for nearly $1 million, as she moved off the property completely and into a home about 15 minutes away. She’s still involved with pumpkin season, though. Roloff Farms typically sees around 30,000 visitors each pumpkin season, bringing in plenty of business (and money) to the Roloffs. The farm reportedly brings in about $150,000 each October.

Some fans voiced their disdain for alleged price increases during Roloff Farms pumpkin season in 2021

According to the Roloff Farms website, pumpkin season is open for 2021. The season began Oct. 1 and runs through Oct. 30, 2021, and the farm’s open for visitors from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The website notes advanced reservations and tickets are required for entry. Face masks are also required and sanitation stations are also set due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The site notes admission costs $24 for visitors ages 3 and older. Toddlers and newborns get in for free, and visitors only going for pumpkin picking have a different deal altogether. Unfortunately, some fans are unhappy with the pricing. According to The Sun, they expressed their anger about the alleged increased prices to visit the Little People, Big World homestead.

“My husband worked a couple of miles away and had wanted to go for a couple of years,” one visitor wrote to Yelp, according to the publication. “We finally made it up to the farm. What a huge disappointment. It cost us $101.95 for three adults and a 6-year-old to get in.”

“Visited a few times over the years and always enjoyed myself, but now I see it’s $24 to get in?!” another visitor wrote. “That’s ridiculous. What if you just wanted to walk around and get a pumpkin. Not worth it at all. Greedy.”

It wasn’t all bad, though. The Sun notes a number of satisfied customers also gave raving reviews of their experience. Perhaps the price really is worth it.

Is Roloff Farms for sale? Who currently owns the property?

Is Roloff Farms for sale now that Amy Roloff moved away? Currently, it seems Matt Roloff still owns the property. While it seemed like Zach Roloff and his wife, Tori Roloff, wanted to own the property, they recently revealed they moved to Washington. Jeremy Roloff also had an interest in taking over the property. But it seems he hasn’t made any official moves to buy the farm just yet.

Matt expressed interest in doing away with the farm completely, too. He and his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, talked at length about staying in their Arizona home and moving away from Oregon completely. “Our grand plan right now is to stay committed, stay in love, go to Arizona, and spend a tremendous amount of time together,” Caryn said on Little People, Big World.

We look forward to seeing what’s really in store for Roloff Farms moving forward. Despite a few negative reviews, we know the Roloff family will continue to make customers and fans happy.
