Line of Duty seasons 1-4 are currently available to watch on Netflix for viewers in the UK. However, the show will soon be leaving the streaming platform – here’s everything you need to know about why this is and how else you can stream the show.

Why is Line of Duty leaving Netflix?

The sixth season of Line of Duty is currently being filmed with fans eager to find out what will happen next to AC-12.

However, it has now been confirmed for those who have been binge-watching the series on Netflix, it will soon not be available.

This has been announced by the streaming platform who have updated fans on the official website.

If viewers search Line of Duty on Netflix UK, they will be able to see it will only be available until October 31.

An exact reason has not been given as to why the series is being taken down.

However, it likely has something to do with licensing of the show and the deal the BBC has with Netflix.

Some fans had thought it might be because the show was now available on another streaming platform called BritBox.

Posting about the news on Reddit, fan an_evil_eskimo wrote: “I’m guessing this is because of BritBox? Right as they added the fifth series as well.”

While another named Evil_Homer_7003 added: “I’m guessing that’s when their rights to show it runs out.

“Would be a shame if the BBC made it so that such a popular programme is really limited in access.”

Of course, not all of Line of Duty was available to stream anyway as season five had not yet been added.

However, some thought the release of the fifth series on Netflix was imminent.

Now it seems like it will not be airing on the platform at all for the foreseeable future.
