Leonardo DiCaprio surrounded by flames as he films riot scenes for Don't Look Up

Leonardo DiCaprio looked to be feeling the heat during an intense Don’t Look Up shoot in Boston over the weekend.

The Hollywood star was spotted in a sharp grey suit and glasses as he sported a goatee and windswept hair with a fire raging behind him.

Leo is in Boston working on Netflix’s upcoming political satire disaster movie, and filming has continued despite the coronavirus pandemic.

Pictures taken on Saturday show the 45-year-old actor with flames blazing in the background with riot police and firefighters responding to the scene as people run rampant through the streets.

Filming recently resumed in Boston’s Financial District – where the cast and crew were shooting last month – and the area was transformed into New York City for the shoot.

According to local reports, dozens of yellow NYC taxis were spotted during filming, with an NYC bus also on location, with the Boston Wine Exchange storefront now reading ‘Bert’s Wine Exchange’.

In the movie, Leo plays Dr. Randall Mindy alongside Jennifer Lawrence’s Kate Dibiasky as the two low-level astronomers embark on a media tour to warn mankind about an approaching asteroid set to destroy Earth.

The cast looks incredible, with Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Timothee Chalamet, Arianda Grande, Himesh Patel and Matthew Perry all signed up – plus Meryl Streep as President Janie Orlean.

Filmmaker Adam McKay will be at the helm – directing from a script he wrote – and he’ll also serve as co-producer along with Kevin Messick.

On top of Don’t Look Up, Leo will also be working on Martin Scorsese’s new film Killer of the Flower Moon.

Both films will be his first work with a major streaming platform, with Killer of the Flower Moon – based on journalist David Grann’s non-fiction book of the same name – being led by Apple.
