Kerry Katona says she's 'so proud' of her daughter Lilly, 18, for coming out as a witch and practising spells07/22/2021
KERRY Katona has said she's "so proud" of her daughter Lilly after the 18-year-old revealed she's a practising witch.
The teen, Kerry's second daughter from her marriage to Brian McFadden, has been casting spells, using tarot cards and meeting up with a coven of other witches.
The 18-year-old was born Irish Catholic but was "always drawn" to spells and crystals before a chance encounter with a pagan ritual while she was "struggling" in lockdown changed her life.
"I remember I went to the woods one day, and I actually got drawn down this path I'd never been down before," she told OK! magazine.
"And there was this tree with a tiny fire burning by it.
"There was no one around, but there was a pagan symbol on the tree.
"It felt like a sign, so I went back and researched it and it took me down a Wicca rabbit hole.
"I realised it's such a beautiful religion, it's incredibly spiritual."
I'd never put a curse on anybody
Lilly-Sue now regularly casts spells using jars and candles for "personal growth, for a good night's sleep, to protect my family".
She also believes in the "three fold law" so anything you put out – good or bad – comes back to you times three.
"That's why I'd never put a curse on anybody – it'll come back on me in a big way," she said.
"It's a very individual path for every witch – you do what you want, but you practice kindness and goodness, always."
Lilly mixes "moon water", uses crystals, reads tarot cards and mixes herbs for her spells.
And since finding her gift, Lilly can spot other witches anywhere.
"You wouldn't believe how many of us there are out there," she said.
Last week, Lilly revealed she turned down an offer to appear on Love Island this year.
She told OK! Online: "It's not a bit of me – not in a rude way, it's a fun show – but if I was going to make a big TV debut, it would not be with Love Island."
The teen went on to explain that in "no disrespect" to the show, she personally disliked "being romantic" or showing off her body.
