Jeremy Vine viewers blast 'sexist' dating advice – but who's in the wrong? | The Sun

JEREMY Vine viewers have blasted the show for 'sexist' dating advice following the latest episode.

The Channel 5 current affairs and panel programme covered the topic of relationships on Tuesday.

Jeremy, 57, was joined by columnist Andrew Pierce and Myleene Klass.

They were discussing whether it was okay to throw out your exes belongings.

It comes as former Premier League footballer Greg Halford posted a video on to his social media of him throwing his ex-partner belongings out of a window.

He's accused her of being unfaithful.

"What a terrible way to behave, and to film it to humiliate her, I mean we don't know if she cheated," said Andrew, reacting to the clip.

Jeremy then asked whether it was acceptable to throw an exes stuff out the window.

Responding to the presenter, Myleene said: "No. Like Andrew, I think we've all had cheating exes we've all had to pack a bag up or boxes and that's the way you do it.

"They're gone, you've already got rid of detritus, you've already got rid of the main problem, you've packed that up, this is just housekeeping."

Vine told the pair he would have thought they would've been more tolerant to Greg's way of moving on.

He said: "I don't like it because I know of a case where this happened and it revealed to me that there was something inside the relationship that was abusive."

He added: "I feel like that's a violent act."

However fans at home are accusing them of double standards as it was a woman who cheated – and they questioned whether the panelists would feel the same if it was a male cheater.

One posted: "Tune has changed cos its a women cheated on… typical."

Another said: "When a woman does the same thing when a guy cheats, she gets praised. Another example of double standards."

"Should a man throw a woman out of a window if shes caught cheating andrew? Unfunny mug," said a third.

While a fourth said: "Kate Mansfield here gaslighting someone who was cheated on. Bet if roles were reversed they would champion the girl."

Greg played in England's top flight with Wolves, Sunderland and Reading during his career.

In total the defender made 29 appearances in the Premier League.

The 38-year-old shared the video on Twitter for his 43,000 followers with the caption: "Been far, far too long but finally clearing out the cheating c*** ex stuff."
