I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans have compared the spin-off show, Legends of the Castle to the Australian version and complained that it's "not the same".

Just like every year, ITV broadcast a recap programme which gives viewers a chance to revisit some of the best bits from this year's series.

The I'm A Celeb contestants also get a chance to share their personal experience with viewers and give insight into aspects that were not seen on the main show.

However, Wednesday night's spin-off, Legends of the Castle, didn't quite hit the mark which left some viewers rather disappointed.

Taking to Twitter, one spectator penned: "Not the same as the Australian ‘coming out’ party in the six-star hotel, but a great reminder of this year’s show."

Another said: "What’s the point of this rehash? Yawn. Nothing new here. Not like what happened when they left."

A third added: "Not the same when they’re not in Aus #imaceleb #imacelebrity."

Meanwhile, another viewer posted a picture of previous I'm A Celeb exit programmes and wrote: "These were the best coming out shows let’s face it."

However, although some fans were not too happy with Legends of the Castle, some were happy the show was back on their screens.

"Love the coming out show really interesting watch," a viewer chimed.

While someone also said: "As an Australian, I have to admit the British UK version of #imacelebrity is far, FAR better than the Aussie one. Our hosts are s**t. The show is ok but i refuse to watch the 2 idiots hosting it."

Before I'm A Celeb moved to Wales, viewers were treated with a rather grand coming out experience.

The special episode would usually feature an array of behind-the-scenes clips as well as footage of the campmates being reunited with their families and friends.

Viewers who have begged ITV to bring the show back to Australia, may face further disappointment as the broadcaster may decide to film the show in Wales for a third year running.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the popular reality show was forced to relocate to Gwrych Castle in 2020 and according to reports TV execs have rebooked the same location for this time next year.

Talking to The Sun, an ITV source explained: "At the moment it is pretty much nailed on for a third year in the castle. Australia is opening up but could also snap shut at any time depending on how things go so that situation is far from being on an even footing.

"The executives are happy to stick with Gwyrch Castle for another year and then after that the show might finally get back Down Under."

"But the viewers are understanding because Australia is super-strict so they know that getting back to Oz isn’t really feasible at the moment."
