I Hate You is an upcoming new series that will be making its way to Channel 4. Created by Friday Night Dinner’s Robert Popper and The Inbetweener’ Damon Beesley as director, it is bound to be a hilarious watch. Here’s everything we know so far about I Hate You.
When is the release date for I Hate You?
A release date hasn’t been revealed for the new comedy I Hate You.
Channel 4 made the announcement regarding the series being brought to life by Popper and Beesley today, Wednesday, August 25.
So it isn’t believed that filming has even started on the show just yet.
Given that it is still very early days, I Hate You is more likely to come out sometime in 2022.
Who is in the cast of I Hate You?
Co-starring in I Hate You will be 29-year-old actress Tanya Reynolds.
She landed her first major part in the Sky One comedy-drama Delicious back in 2016, alongside Dawn French and Emilia Fox.
Since then, Reynolds has shot to further fame with Netflix’s Sex Education.
She portrays Lily in the hit series and will be back for season three next month.
Actress Reynolds will be joined by a newcomer on-screen for the co-leading role.
Melissa Saint is going to be the other star of the show who has previously had small one-off parts in Doctors and Obscenities.
This will be Saint’s first-ever major part in a television series.
Both herself and Reynolds are going to be the main focus of I Hate You when it does arrive.

The comedy will be about friends and flatmates Charlie and Becca.
Their friendship is intense as they spend most of their time together and are the complete opposites.
While Charlie worries about absolutely everything, Becca is incapable of getting embarrassed.
The synopsis for the series also provides more details as to what viewers can expect.
“Together they share a flat that is half spotless (Becca’s room) and half ‘sh*****y’ (Charlie’s room). Together they’re complete chaos.
“The first series sees Charlie get arrested for pick-pocketing a police officer, Becca learns the perils of jogging to jazz, the girls meet a man who believes humans came from bears, and both start dating older guys – more specifically – men in their seventies.
“All this plus a Lord who keeps a fly as his pet.”
I Hate You will be available to watch on Channel 4.
