Geralt Reunites With Ciri in First Trailer for The Witcher Season 2


The first look at the upcoming season of the hit Netflix series sees Geralt teaching Ciri how to run, how to hide, and how to fight monsters as the world is becoming dangerous for her.

AceShowbiz -“The Witcher” has released the very first trailer for its highly-anticipated season 2. Hitting the web on Friday, July 9, the new video offers fans the first look at the sophomore which will see Geralt (Henry Cavill) finally meeting Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan).

Kicking off the new clip is Ciri, who is asking Geralt if she’s Geralt’s destiny. To the question, Geralt tells her, “You’re much more than that, Cirilla.” Elsewhere in the trailer, Geralt warns Ciri that “the world is changing” and that “Cintra isn’t safe for you anymore.” Geralt can be also seen bringing Ciri to Kaer Morhen, which he claims to be her home.

As the world is becoming dangerous for her, Geralt begins to teach her how to run, how to hide, and how to fight monsters. “When I say run, you run. When I stay hide, you hide,” Geralt tells Ciri.

Season 2 of “The Witcher” is set to explore how Geralt and Ciri’s relationship evolves. It will also dive into famous locations in the universe including Kaer Morhen. Additionally, it will feature new characters like Phillipa Eilhart (Cassie Clare), Lambert (Paul Bullion) and Vesemir (Kim Bodnia) as well as new monsters like the Leshy.

Returning for the sophomore season are Henry, Anya Chalotra, Joey Batey, MyAnna Buring, Tom Canton, Lilly Cooper, Jeremy Crawford, Eamon Farren, Mahesh Jadu, Terence Maynard, Lars Mikkelsen, Mimi M Khayisa, Royce Pierreson, Wilson Mbomio, Anna Shaffer and Therica Wilson-Read.

As for new additions, it includes Yasen Atour as Coen, Agnes Born as Vereena, Basil Eidenbenz as Eskel, Aisha Fabienne Ross as Lydia, Kristofer Hivju as Nivellen, Mecia Simson as Francesca, Adjoa Andoh as Nenneke, Carr as Fenn, Graham McTavish as Dijkstra, Kevin Doyle as Ba’lian, Simon Callow as Codringher and Chris Fulton as Rience.

“The Witcher” season 2 is set to arrive on Netflix on December 17.
