First look at Idris Elba in terrifying new thriller Hijack as plane passengers fight for their lives | The Sun

IDRIS Elba attempts to save passengers on a flight after a terrorist attack in Apple TV+'s new thriller, Hijack.

The streamer has released the trailer for the gripping drama starring and executive produced by the SAG Award-winner and Emmy Award-nominee.


"Hijack" will air on Apple TV+ on June 28, 2023, with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Wednesday until August 2.

Idris will star as ‘Sam Nelson,’ an accomplished negotiator in the business world who needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers.

In the trailer clip, Sam, a skilled business negotiator, boards a plane that is later hijacked by armed men.

As Sam tries to talk with the terrorists and eventually fool them, time begins to run short. Then Sam discovers another conspiracy.

The event unfolds in real time on the seven-hour journey from Dubai to London.

The seven-part series also stars Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award-winner Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife).

An anti-terrorism team in London lead by Archie Panjabi is drawn into the action and they rush to try and find solutions before passengers start dying.

The synopsis reads: “Hijack” is a tense thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers.
