Emmerdales Mackenzie Boyd torn between Charity and newborn son

Emmerdale: Mack and Charity meet Chloe’s baby

Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) became a dad to Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) baby as he tied the knot with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

Charity still has no idea he cheated on her with Chloe or that he is the father of her child, but the secret is set to come out soon.

In upcoming scenes, Mack’s pained as he watches Chloe struggle with baby Reuben.

He later asks about Reuben and he’s thrilled when Chloe asks if he would join them for a walk.

However, she tells him she is planning on raising Reuben in Scotland, leaving Mack heartbroken.

The following day, Reuben starts running a temperature and he’s taken to hospital where he’s diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.

When the news of the baby’s illness filters through the village, Mack is left reeling.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media, Chloe actress Jessie said: “She doesn’t really want Mack to be involved because she’s seen he’s not super subtle with it.

“So she is kind of worried about that as she feels immense guilt about Charity.

“She knows she could keep it a secret but she’s not quite sure if she can trust Mackenzie in that aspect.”

Will he fight the urge to tend to his poorly son so his secret isn’t exposed?

She continued: “[Chloe and Mack] do have an interaction where they do discuss that and she kind of uses him for support and it was nice to have that [moment] where they are nice to each other for once.”

“They are kind of forced into situations together and that is almost worse for him because he’s not having anything shut off to him and he’s there interacting with Rueben.”

When asked if Chloe feels sorry for Mack, Jessie said: “Yes, definitely.”

Will Mack end up choosing his newborn son over his new wife, leaving her heartbroken?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
