EastEnders viewers will be left fuming tonight as the soap has been cancelled to make way for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day, which will start airing at 7pm.

The Friday episode for EastEnders was pushed forward and aired last night, meaning viewers will have to wait until next Monday to see the next instalment.

It is set to an explosive episode, as Frankie Lewis will be attacked by Stuart Highway as Mick's harrowing child abuse will finally be exposed.

Viewers know that Frankie's mum Katy has been revealed to be a serial abuser who preyed on young boys when she was a care worker, and one of her victims was Mick.

Sharon has also been predicted to have a shock incest storyline as she has been seeing eyeing up her long-lost brother Zack.

After going to her dad Gavin Sullivan's memorial service, she was distracted by a hunky stranger and was clearly attracted to him.

After Sharon discovered he is actually her brother, fans have predicted she could be set for a very awkward storyline.

But fans will have to wait, as EastEnders as well as a number of other popular programmes, including The Graham Norton Show, have been pulled from air.

Comic Relief will be coming back with a bang with appearances from Daniel Craig, Catherine Tate and Olivia Colman.

Top Gear presenter Paddy McGuinness will be hosting the show, along with Davina McCall, Sir Lenny Henry and Alesha Dixon.

Viewers will also be treated to sketches with Tate's foul-mouthed Nan, who will be meeting James Bond legend Daniel, as well as bits from The Vicar Of Dibley, Staged and Top Gear.

Other programmes who will be sharing clips for the good cause are hit BBC dramas Normal People and Fleabag.

Meanwhile, EastEnders returns at 8.05pm on Monday evening, with its synopsis currently reading: "Mick and Linda are finally back behind the bar at the Vic, and soon receive a visit from DI Pine with the news that Katy has been arrested.

"But when Stuart listens in, he is desperate to get revenge for his old friend. Stacey gets bad news from her solicitor, prompting Jean into an angry confrontation with Jean and Martin.

"Kheerat and Suki are unhappy when Vinny gives a statement to the police, and Tiffany accidentally overcharges a customer, giving Dotty a money-making idea."

Comic Relief will air on Friday at 7pm on BBC.
