Death in Paradise's Ralf Little reveals fate on BBC show in series 11 and beyond

DEATH in Paradise's Ralf Little has revealed his fate on the BBC show in series 11 and beyond.

Ralf joined the hit BBC crime drama in series nine as DI Neville Parker, and impressed fans even further during series 10, which finished earlier this year.

The show has been renewed for a further two series, and while Ralf, 41, previously said he was signed up for series 11 but unsure about series 12, it now seems like he could be around for the long haul.

Speaking to Hello! he said: "I don’t have an end date in mind. I’ll definitely be coming back for this one [season 11] without question and look, I just love it.

"I love the show – I love being in the show. I love working on the show. I'm a fan of it. I just absolutely love it so I'm not in any hurry to finish."

He continued: "So who knows, I've got no plans either way. I'm certainly possibly the most well suited to it of all the detectives so far because I don't have the same family commitments."

Ralf is the show's fourth detective following Ben Miller, Kris Marshall and Ardal O'Hanlon.

Ralf, who is engaged to US playwright Lindsey Ferrentino, previously told The Guardian he didn't mind being away from home for months on end filming in the Caribbean.

He said: "Of the four actors who’ve played the lead detective – Ben Miller, Kris Marshall and Ardal O’Hanlon came before me – my home situation is easiest. I don’t have kids or responsibilities.

"And because of my other half, I was splitting my time between the UK and US anyway. It suits my lifestyle."

He added of the show: "It’s the first time I’ve played a legit leading man.

"I could pretend I was worried about taking on the responsibility, but that would be a lie. I was delighted."

Death in Paradise is available on BBC iPlayer.
