Dancing On Ice fans brand Oti Mabuse ‘amazing addition’ to panel after debut


Oti Mabusehas gone down a storm with Dancing on Ice viewers after making her judging debut on Sunday 16 January.

Oti, 31, was announced to be joining the panel last yearin replacement of John Barrowman.

She joins Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean and Ashley Banjo on the show.

Following her highly anticipated debut, Dancing on Ice viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on Oti, and the majority of them only had good things to say.

“Great to see @OtiMabuse join the show as a judge. She is such a breath of fresh air,” wrote one person.

“@OtiMabuse is an amazing addition to #DancingOnIce,” wrote someone else.

“#DancingOnIce feels a lot better this series not sure why?…… maybe it’s the influence of Oti Mabuse #DOI,” penned a third.

A fourth person added: “oti mabuse has my heart fifteen minutes into #DancingOnIce”.

“It’s been 4 minutes and Oti Mabuse has injected more personality onto this #DancingOnIce panel than it’s had in several, several years,” someone else wrote.

Meanwhile, others commented on how fabulous Oti looked.

The South African dancer wore a stunning red, waterfall-esque strapless dress with bow detailing, paired with red sparkly high heels.

To complete the look, Oti wore her hair in 60s style waves pinned to one side.

Commenting on her appearance, someone said: “@OtiMabuse looking gorgeous on @dancingonice”.

Another person echoed similar sentiments. They wrote: “@OtiMabuse LOOKS INCREDDDDDDIBLE”, followed by a string of red heart emojis.

Meanwhile, another DOI viewer described the 31 year old as looking “fierce”.

Before her debut, Oti spoke of how excited she was to join the panel.

“As a professional dancer I have always had so much respect for the skating professionals on Dancing On Ice,” she said.

“It is an exceptional skill that is also so beautiful to watch. I’m feeling really enthusiastic about joining the panel alongside the legendary Torvill and Dean and Ashley Banjo.

"I can’t wait to see the celebrities thrive as they learn how to ice-skate and to champion the professional skaters as they create incredible choreography.”

Oti went on: “Having been on both sides of the table, I know a little bit about how they’ll be feeling. It’s more than an honour and I already can’t wait to join the family.”

In the wake of her new gig, Strictly viewers have expressed concerns thatshe might not return to the well-loved dancing show.

Oti herself has even admitted her future on the BBC programme remains uncertain.
