Daisy Ridley to Star in Futuristic Thriller Mind Fall10/30/2021
Graham Moore (”The Imitation Game“) wrote the screenplay for the story set in the near-future
“Star Wars” actress Daisy Ridley will star in a thriller set in the near future called “Mind Fall” from “La Haine” director Mathieu Kassovitz, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.
“Mind Fall” is written by Graham Moore (“The Imitation Game”) and follows Ridley as a drug trafficker whose most-sought-after black market drug is memories that can be removed from one person’s brain and implanted into another. She’s forced to try and solve a mystery after being accused of murdering one of her clients, all while battling her own addiction and inability to tell her real memories from the implanted ones.
“Mind Fall” is being presented to buyers at the upcoming American Film Market, with Wild Bunch International’s Vincent Maraval and Kim Fox launching international sales.
Jeff Robinov’s Studio 8 is producing “Mind Fall,” with John Graham also producing for Studio 8.
Ridley after closing out the “Star Wars” trilogy was most recently seen in the sci-fi and YA film “Chaos Walking” from Lionsgate opposite Tom Holland. She’s next starring in “The Marsh King’s Daughter” from director Neil Burger, which is set at STX.
Kassovitz is best known for his popular and acclaimed French drama “La Haine” starring Vincent Cassel from 1995, as well as acting in “Amelie,” and he most recently directed and starred in the series “The Bureau.”
Ridley is represented by CAA and Sloane, Offer, Weber, Dern. Moore is represented by CAA. Kassovitz is repped by UBBA and Exile Entertainment.
