Seb (played by Harry Visinoni) made his exit from Coronation Street in May when he became a victim of a heinous hate crime as he was trying to protect his girlfriend, Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher). Recent weeks on the ITV soap have seen the latter and her boyfriend’s mother, Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) coming to terms with their loss as well as going to extreme lengths to get justice for his death. However, in an unexpected and surprising turn of events, the late character is going to make a comeback for some very special scenes and this could be an indication a much bigger plan is about to be exposed.

Currently, the two main suspects being charged with Seb’s murder are egotistical teenager Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) and impressionable Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson).

The former has been at the centre of Nina’s crusade for justice as she believes he was the one who dealt the killer blow.

Unfortunately, due to the extent of her own injuries sustained in the attack, Roy Cropper’s (David Neilson) niece cannot remember what happened.

As her memory seems to have been affected, the youngster has turned to drink and partying as it is clear she has been struggling with internal guilt of not being able to remember.

However, unofficial pictures from filming have indicted the troubled character will revisit what happened on the fateful night through a series of flashbacks.

As well as the likes of Nina, Corey and Kelly being pictured in the shots, Seb is also seen making an appearance.

According to Digital Spy, confirmation has been given these scenes will feature as part of flashback scenes to unveil who killed the youngster.

The actors have been working in a close cohort bubble to film the episode in question, meaning there will be no social distancing.

Although it seems the past is going to be revisited, Seb could also make a comeback in the present in a surprise twist.

With the culprits behind bars for the heinous hate crime, he could come out of hiding as it’s revealed he was part of an undercover police operation.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the journey

Knowing the teenagers would throw each other under the bus as to who committed the murder, Seb could have stroked a deal with the police to make it seem as if he had died.

This would have meant keeping his mother, girlfriend, friends and neighbours in the dark to ensure the right person was caught.

As his memory could also have been affected during the incident, he might not have remembered who dealt the killer blow.

Therefore, he would have been waiting for Nina to recall some sense of what happened to reclaim his freedom.

Ultimately, his family and loved ones will be thrilled if he is not dead but will they be able to move on from what happened?

The actor who plays Corey, Maximus, previously spoke about the hate crime being revisited through a series of flashbacks.

Speaking to the press, including Express.co.uk, the young soap star was asked if viewers would get to see the full extent of the attack as most of it happened off-screen.

He said: “Yes, I hope so. Obviously, it was very interesting because, with COVID, we’ve had to change the way that we work on set.

“Especially the two-metre rule, which is a very vital thing. So it was hard ultimately and I praise Harry and Mollie for their convincing beatings, without anyone there to do the kicking.

“I hope that in the future we do see the full extent of the attack, just to add to that sense of reality and how brutal it truly is.”

At the time of his departure, the actor who plays Seb, Harry, discussed leaving the role after five years.

The young soap star said in a video posted on the show’s official Twitter page: “It’s been a pretty rough ride for Seb.

“But I’m very happy that he’s been allowed to touch on some very important issues from HIV to human trafficking, now to this. It’s been an honour, a privilege and a pleasure.

“Unfortunately, Weatherfield is down a man bun but hopefully they’ll survive. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“Hope you’ve enjoyed the journey, because I definitely have,” the actor shared as he concluded his statement.

Taking to Twitter, viewers have also been sharing their thoughts on the aftermath of the youngster’s death on the cobbles.

One fan wrote: “Hmmm after the recent news, I have a feeling it will be revealed Kelly did kill Seb #Corrie.”

Another posted: “Nina cannot blame herself just because some people are spineless and didn’t allow for her to embrace being different. Seb died defending her honour she can be grateful for that at least #Corrie.”

Whilst a third remarked: “That was awful so very upsetting but so very well done – what acting! Didn’t think it would end this way for Seb @Harry_Visinoni you will be a great miss!”

Coronation Street continues Friday at 7:30pm on ITV.
