CALL The Midwife viewers were left devastated as the much loved character left Poplar.

Season 12 of the BBC drama has returned and Lucille Robinson and Cyril Robinson were finding it challenging to accept the Enoch Powell speech.

It sent shockwaves through London when the characters all heard politician Enoch Powell's disturbing Rivers of Blood speech which strongly criticised immigration from Commonwealth countries and the proposes Race Relations Act.
