Brad Pitt asks Leonardo DiCaprio why he didn't 'squeeze on the door' in Titanic

Brad Pitt has teased Leonardo DiCaprio over his death scene in Titanic.

The 44-year-old played Jack Dawson in the classic, and was seen sacrificing himself at the end of the movie, so his love Rose DeWitt Bukater (Kate Winslet) could live on.

As she clambered onto a floating door, Jack found himself freezing to death in the water – despite there being more than enough room for both of them to fit on the debris.

And while we have questioned why he never tried to save himself for so many years, Brad has finally challenged the star on the creative decision.

When chatting to MTV News, the Hollywood actor asked his buddy: ‘Could you? Could you squeeze in?’

To which Leo replied: ‘No comment.’

Margot Robbie joined the pair, and recalled the moment she ‘bawled her eyes out’ as she watched Jack’s hypothermia set in.

Don’t worry, hun, we have all been there.

‘That is the biggest controversy in cinema history,’ she laughed when discussing whether or not he could have fit on the door.

Pressing for more answers, the 29-year-old asked: ‘Did you mention it at the time, should we make the door bigger?’

Leo chuckled: ‘Like I said, I have no comment.’

This isn’t the only iconic scene from the film that Leo appears to have had problems with, as it was recently revealed he didn’t want to shout: ‘I’m the king of the world.’

Seriously, the line that also made us tear up almost didn’t happen – according to the director James Cameron.

When chatting to BBC Radio 1’s Ali Plumb, he revealled the scene was made up on the spot.

‘I was in a crane basket and we were losing the light,’ the 64-year-old explained: ‘We had tried this and tried that, and tried this line and tried that line and nothing was really working.’

He continued: ‘I said, “All right, I’ve got one for you, just say I’m the king of the world, and just spread your arms out wide, and just be in the moment, and just love it and celebrate the moment.”’

Pausing for a second to relive the time, James then laughed: ‘And he goes, “What?” I’m getting this over the walkie talkie, “What?”

‘I said, “I’m the king of the world, just say I’m the king of the world, but you’ve got to sell it.”’

He chuckled to himself as he recalled the scene: ‘And he goes, “What?” I said, “Just f**king sell it.”’
