Ben Shephard in Tipping Point FIX as he reaches into the machine and knocks counter to help This Morning pal

TIPPING Point's Ben Shephard did something you won't have ever seen on the show.

The 47-year-old host fixed the game by leaning over and shoving one of the big-money discs during a special round of the quiz.

He was helping This Morning's Vernon Kay boost his game total by £50 as they chatted to celebrate a decade of Tipping Point.

Ben said: "Vern, you've never been on Tipping Point so I thought I'd give you a go on the machine."

Referring to Josie Gibson, who was hosting This Morning with Vernon today, Ben said: "I'm going to ask you a question that we asked Josie.

"Which Spanish tennis player won his 13th French men's singles title? She said: 'Ooh it's the one with the lovely hair, is it Vidal?'

"Who is it Vern?"

He correctly replied: "It was Rafael Nadal" earning him a go at dropping one of the counters.

The TV star opted for Dropzone One and told Ben when he wanted his counter to drop by shouting out.

Ben replied: "Not the best release I'm going to be honest Vern. Is it going to be a rider? It's flat.

"I'm just going to give this a little hand because we're good mates and I don't want you to fail."

He then climbed over the edge of the machine and knocked two discs onto the next shelf as Josie protested: "He didn't do this with me."

The sneaky move meant one black disc plopped down into the tray with Ben cheering: "You've just made £50."
