Angel Adoree and Dick Strawbridge have been cataloging their journey in restoring Chateau de la Motte-Husson in Escape to the Chateau. They have been joined by a variety of friends and family over the course of the Channel 4 show’s eight seasons. Now some viewers are curious if Adoree has siblings of her own.

Does Angel Adoree have any siblings?

Although Escape to the Chateau offers many insights into Adoree’s life, fans are still left with some questions.

Many viewers are wondering if the star has any siblings as many different family members have been featured on the show.

Adoree was born Angela Newman in East London, South Africa in 1978.

Her parents, Stephen and Jennifer Newman, then moved to Canvey Island in Essex, setting up a jewellery store.

She grew up alongside her brother Paul Newman, who has kept his personal life private.

However, he does still run the family store to this day, with him and Adoree reopening it in 2017.

Adoree married Dick Strawbridge in 2015 after meeting through a shared friend and agent.

It wasn’t long until the pair decided to move to France in search of a new life together, leading them to purchase Chateau de la Motte-Husson.

Much of the following years have been documented in Escape to the Chateau, with their family home now open to the public to visit or even stay the night.

The couple have two children together, Arthur Donald and Dorothy Francis.

While fans still know her as Angel Adoree, she took on Dick Strawbridge’s surname when they married.

Now Angel Strawbridge, the past six years the two have spent together has seen them restore the old chateau to its former glory.

Speaking to Great British Life back in 2018, the star opened up about how the series has impacted her life and what led her and Strawbridge to purchasing the house.

Adoree explained: “It has been a bit of a surprise that the series has been so well received and very humbling.

“In a simple gite, one storey high with shutters opening out onto the attractive town, we knew we could buy it for £30,000.

“So we quickly thought, ‘What are we doing with mortgages and working to pay different rents? Let’s do it!’”

Originally airing in 2016, the series has gone on to receive eight seasons charting the course from manor house ruin to holiday destination.

Adoree’s parents have regularly featured in the series, though her brother Paul Newman has not.

Much of Strawbridge’s family has featured on the programme as well, including his son James Strawbridge.

There is currently no word on when the series will return from Channel 4.

Escape to the Chateau is available on Channel 4’s catch up service All4.
