Amy Hart chokes up after losing friends over Love Island08/13/2019
Love Island’s Amy Hart choked up as she made a comment about friends who’ve ditched her to those who’ve stuck by her following her time on the ITV2 dating show.
The 27-year-old star, who’s reportedly in an awkward competition with series five winner Amber Gill for a presenting job on Loose Women, gathered her nearest and dearest for a speech to thank them for their continued support.
‘The criteria for today’s invitation list was as follows – nice to me before the villa, supportive whilst I was in the villa, and nice to me when I came out of the villa,’ Amy began in the clip shared on Instagram.
‘A lot of people that have been in my life for a long time didn’t actually meet that criteria which is really sad but I am so grateful that I have all of you.’
Amy added: ‘And I know you are my real friends because a lot of you were banned from Facebook during the time I was in the villa for combatting against the trolls.’
Since leaving the villa, Amy has revealed she will be in therapy for over a year in order to get over her time on the show.
The former flight attendant, who made the shock decision to leave the villa alone after ‘half-boyfriend’ Curtis Pritchard ended their relationship, told Grazia that ITV had provided her counselling sessions following her exit.
‘I’ve got 14 months of therapy guaranteed,’ she said, ‘but if I need it afterwards I can still have it.’
Amy made an appearance on Loose Women after her time in the villa and was an instant hit, with the ladies inviting her back to be a guest panellist.
Love Island returns to ITV2 in January.
