Vicky Pattison says dad used her as human walking stick during booze battle

Vicky Pattison has opened up about her dad using her as a "human walking stick" while drunk and out on benders.

The stunning Geordie Shore lass who shot to fame in 2011 is gearing up for an emotive documentary to air on televisions up and down the country next week.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of her programme Vicky Pattison: My Dad, Alcohol And Me airing on Tuesday, August 2, Vicky lifted the lid on what it was like growing up.

She told the paper that when she was young, she realised that her dad using her as a "human walking stick" didn't seem right.

Adding: "As a kid growing up, you absolutely assume that what you are exposed to is normal because you have no other point of reference – I assumed everybody spent their Saturdays and Sundays in pubs."

She then went on to admit that as an adult there are elements of adulthood that she would "prefer" her child not to be "exposed to".

The documentary will see Vicky and her dad John explore their relationship with each other and with alcohol.

Vicky has been open about her relationship with alcohol after making a name for herself as a party animal on the tiles of Newcastle on Geordie Shore.

She has since turned her life around as a bestselling author, former queen of the jungle on I'm a Celebrity! Get Me Out of Here and Loose Women panellist.

WhatToWatch reports that in the upcoming documentary Vicky and her dad visit Tony Moss, a Professor of Addictive Behaviour Science in London.

They visit the specialist in order to analyse the "triggers" for their drinking habits, with the Northern lass expressing her fears that she could end up like her father.

Exploring a possible genetic link that could make her become an alcoholic in the future, the documentary informs and educates while letting Vicky and her dad tell their stories.

Vicky Pattison: My Dad, Alcohol And Me airs on Tuesday, August 2 on Channel 4 and All 4.
