Orlando Blooms life – racy paddle-boarding, nude snaps and rekindled romance

Orlando Bloom first found fame in his twenties and has been in the spotlight ever since.

As he celebrates his 45th birthday, he has a lot to reflect on during his successful career while being an actor.

The star has been in multiple huge films such as Lord Of The Rings and the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise and since then he has welcomed two children.

The actor has been the centre of some scandals as well as admitting that he didn't find it easy to navigate his new found fame at the beginning of his career.

To celebrate his special day, Daily Star takes a look into Orlando's life and career since being thrust into the spotlight.

Orlando's acting career first began in the early 2000s when he acted in The Lord Of The Rings as Legolas and then soon going on to be in the Pirates Of The Caribbean film series as Will Turner.

But before this he landed a small role in 1997 as a rent boy in Wilde.

His next major role was as Paris, the man who effectively started the Trojan War, in the 2004 film, Troy opposite Brad Pitt, Eric Bana and Peter O'Toole.

Amongst starring in an array of other projects, as of May 2007, Bloom has appeared in four of the top 15 highest-grossing films of all time, making him one of the most successful Hollywood actors out there.

Orlando's most recent project is starring in the Amazon Prime TV show Carnival Row, which was filming its second season in Prague before temporarily postponing production due to COVID-19.

Scandals and finding fame difficult

Orlando has been open in the past about sometimes finding fame difficult, especially in his twenties.

He's admitted that he shouldn't have taken it so seriously at the beginning and he shouldn't have stopped it from living his life properly.

The star even admitted he found it difficult at the start even when there wasn't any social media.

He told the Daily Mail: "I got really good at hiding myself because I was really, painfully, trying to live, without being just looked at the whole time.

"I would say to my young self, just appreciate it and enjoy it, and know today's newspaper is tomorrow's fish and chip paper, especially with those kind of [celebrity] magazines."

Orlando has been part of some funny scandals including being caught naked with his fiancé Katy Perry on a paddle board.

The star was enjoying a relaxing break when he was snapped fully naked back in 2016.

However, it seems that he's poked more fun at himself five years later by posting another revealing pic, but not as quite as graphic as the previous.

Instead of the full-frontal view we previously got, this time he took to his Instagram to post a photo of him standing naked in front of a lake but this time he put an emoji over his modesty.

In order to make it even more funny, he tagged Katy as the peach emoji.

She seemed to find it funny though as she commented: "Babe, I leave you for two days."

Orlando has had more than one public relationship but one of his most famous is his marriage with Australian model Miranda Kerr.

The couple tied the knot back in 2010 and the following year they welcomed their son, Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom.

However, the pair decided to separate in 2013 and were divorced by the end of the year.

January 2016 saw the actor start to date singer Katy Perry but they confirmed their split the following February.

But they seemed to work out their differences as they rekindled their relationship in February 2018 and announced their engagement the next year.

March 2020 was when Katy released a music video to 'Never Worn White' where she shared that her and Orlando were expecting their first child together.

Katy gave birth to their daughter, Daisy Dove on 26th August 2020.

The pair seem more loved up than ever and have certainly found their way into one of the most beloved showbiz couples of the decade.
