Micky Flanagan moving out of London after buying £1.5m Hampshire mansion

Cockney comedian Micky Flanagan is reportedly moving out of London to a £1.5million mansion in leafy Hampshire.

The loveable funnyman, who has lived in the capital all his life, is reported to be relocating to the countryside with his wife Cathy and their 16-year-old son Max.

Micky, 59, has earned a fortune of more than £25 million from DVD sales and gigs since capturing the hearts of the British public with his breakthrough Out Out tour in 2011.

A source told the Daily Mirror: “This is massive for Micky. London is all he’s ever known. He’s got his dream home at last and he’s earned every penny of it.”

The cheeky comic performed in front of 600,000 people during his 2017 UK tour An' Another Fing when he set a record of 12 sold-out nights at the O2 in London.

After matching acts like Prince and Michael McIntyre with 21 performances at The O2, Micky was presented with a key to the famous London arena.

The Live At The Apollo star grew up in the east neighbourhood of Bethnal Green and currently lives in the south part of the city, namely in East Dulwich.

Despite his huge success, Micky has remained modest about his fame and fortune.

He said: “I’m just an East End bloke who happens to have stumbled on something he’s quite good at and gets quite well paid for.

“I’ve gone from punk anarchist to someone who listens to Radio 4 and says, ‘That’s a good deal’, when tuning into Money Box. It happens to us all.”
