Reflecting on Davina's comments, Joel quipped: "I'm sorry but they're too tight."

"Honestly sometimes it's just too much. I'm bringing back some suits from season one and season two of The Masked Singer and I've just grown and shrunk in odd places," he explained.

The news comes after fans were recently left perplexed by Joel's attire on the Saturday night show after some thought he had wet his trousers.

Wearing a suit which sported purple metallic hues, viewers were quick to spot, blue patches near the crotch area.

Heading straight to Twitter, eagle-eyed fans shared their thoughts on his appearance.

One social media user wrote: "Unfortunately Joel's trousers make it look as if he has a big wet patch!"

Another asked: "What is the deal with Joel’s suit today, particularly his trousers… they are a sight I cannot unsee."

A third agreed: "Oh dear, Joel trousers make him look as if he's wet himself the dark unfortunately placed."

Meanwhile a fourth added: "Is it just me or is Joel Dometts suit awful?? The blue flowers seem unfortunately placed on his trousers. Lol."

The return of The Masked Dancer saw Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe as the first person to be unmasked.

After he revealed himself, the 43 year old actor said: "I thought it would be fun because dance is something that really intimidates me so it's a fear that I wanted to face.

"This has been unbelievable, it's one of the most zany things I've ever done in my career. I've thoroughly enjoyed myself."

Discussing this year's series with Daily Star, presenter Joel said viewers should expect big stars to appear on the show.

He said: "Definitely there are a couple that I can think of that are so huge.

"I just couldn't believe and because travel restrictions are not a thing anymore, I got really start struck by people."
