Love Islands Laura Anderson admits shes vulnerable after Gary Lucy split

Love Island star Laura Anderson was forced to hit back at trolls who "abused" her following her pregnancy announcement a few days ago.

The reality star, 33, took to her Instagram Stories and told her 1.5 million followers that she will block any user who posts negative comments regarding her pregnancy on her account.

The mum-to-be said: "Nobody on here except my family and friends knows the reality regarding the past few months of my life because I don't comment on press articles or give details of any other party."

The Scottish beauty added: "I will never play the victim even in my vulnerable state.

"I'm simply moving on with my life with my head held high. I do not appreciate abuse at a time I am trying my best to protect myself and my unborn child."

She concluded the message by saying: "Please think before typing."

Laura, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2018, announced she was expecting her first child with Gary Lucy, 41, earlier this week.

The ITV2 star confirmed the news with a sweet Instagram reel along with the caption: "Our hearts are full. Baby Lucy due Summer '23."

The clips included Laura showing off her blossoming baby bump as well as a photo of Gary holding up a Friends-themed baby grow as he stood in front of the Christmas tree.

Another photo saw a teddy bear on the sofa with a baby grow laying on its chest which read: "The one where we become parents. Baby Lucy due August 2023."

Laura and the former Hollyoaks actor enjoyed a whirlwind romance after meeting on Celebs Go Dating in October last year.

But just a few months in, rumours of their split began circulating as the pair had not been pictured together since Christmas.

The Bill star, who is already dad to four children from his relationship with Natasha Gray, confirmed their breakup and revealed he was "devastated".

Gary told The Sun on Sunday : “It’s been really hard and I’m devastated it’s over romantically."

The ex-EastEnders actor admitted that he fell for Laura as soon as he saw her and explained that he “won't stop loving her” despite the split.
