Inbetweeners James Buckley close to raking in £1m by selling videos to fans

Inbetweeners star James Buckley is close to raking in £1million flogging 30-second video messages to fans.

He has notched up 4,544 five-star reviews from satisfied Cameo customers for £42.50 clips in which he brands folk "bus w*****s".

The actor clocked up 16 reviews on a single day recently – though only around a quarter of customers bother to leave a rating on the site. That would mean he has earned around £800,000 from the shout-outs.

James, 34, has amassed more bookings than any other celeb in the world.

US The Office star Brian Baumgartner is second with 3,782 for his £145 messages with American comic Gilbert Gottfried – who asks £125 – third most popular with 2,894.

Big names like Snoop Dog, Mike Tyson, Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen also flog their services on Cameo.

On the site James tells fans "I’ll wish a friend happy birthday, maybe you want me to propose to your significant other "jay style" or perhaps you just want me to call someone "bus w*****?"

One fan wrote this week: "Absolutely brilliant!! It was just what I wanted. Thank you so much James. I will be in his good books forever now.’"

Another added: "Delivered on time. My girlfriend loved it. Thank you.’"

James also previously filmed vlogs with his wife Clair Meek, who he married back in 2012, sharing a glimpse into their home behind closed doors.

The couple, who share two sons together, have been sharing funny videos of their lives during lockdown, with one of their latest ones showing James attempting some DIY.

Ever since finding fame as Jay on the Inbetweeners, which finished back in 2010, James has reportedly raked in a whopping net worth of $2million, according to site Celebrity Net Worth.

It has recently been announced that James will play the part of Ben in the stage play 2:22: A Ghost Story.

He will take over the role from EastEnders Max Branning star Jake Wood in its move to the Gielgud Theatre.

James is currently a Twitch streamer and YouTuber under the channel names 'Completed It Mate' and 'At Home With The Buckleys'.
