Helen Flanagan would ‘love to go back to Coronation Street’ and hints at return

Helen Flanagan has hinted at her Coronation Street return and said she would love to go back on the popular soap.

The star, who joined the cast when she was just nine-years-old, opened up about the likelihood of her return.

She said: "I would love to go back to Coronation Street, that would be so nice.

“I miss everyone there and I was so lucky to grow up on that show, because the opportunities it brought me have changed my life so much.

“So, yes, I would love to return and hopefully I will, but first I want to enjoy the newborn stage because it doesn’t last long and you never get it back.”

The 30-year-old is currently pregnant with her third child and left the show after giving birth to daughter Delilah in 2018.

The actress has usually kept silent about her decision to return, however she has now candidly revealed it would be in the cards.

Helena joined the cast in 2000 as Rosie Webster and fans watched her grown up on the show.

In 2012 she left the show, only to return in 2017 for a short stint.

Speaking about Sally Dynevor who played her on-screen mum, Helen said she "absolutely loves" her and "she's so lovely and professional."

She revealed how the actress would help her with scripts during her time on the show, reports The Sun.

Helen said she believes things will be back to normal by the spring in terms of the pandemic.

She said: "And I do feel quite positive that things will be different by the spring, especially with the vaccine coming out.”
