Gary Lineker tells Piers Morgan that James Bond is not a real man after rant10/01/2021
Gary Lineker has slammed Piers Morgan following the former GMB anchor's furious rant about a female James Bond.
The BBC Sports pundit, 60, took a savage swipe at his pal Piers on Twitter after Piers was left fuming at the possibility of the next James Bond star being a woman.
It comes as the former Good Morning Britain host had launched into a roaring rant where he blasted the "woke warriors" who suggested that that the next star to play the famous agent should be a female.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday (30 September), Piers shared an article he had written on the topic of who should be next in line to play 007.
Addressing his eight million followers, Piers penned: "James Bond is about the last real man standing in Hollywood and if the woke warriors dare make him a woman I’m going to campaign for Wonder Woman to be a man."
However, it wasn't long before he received a ribbing from former footballer Gary, who fired back: "Spoiler: He's not a real man," as he shared Piers' post.
Some of the biggest names tipped to be candidates for Bond include Luther actor Idris Elba, Bridgerton star Rege-Jean Page and Peaky Blinders hard-man Tom Hardy.

Some fans have called for the next Bond to be a female, after Jodie Whittaker made history as the first female to play the famous time lord, Doctor Who.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, Piers fumed that it would be "utterly preposterous to see James Bond turn into Jane Bond".
He added: "I'll fight until the last drop of my blood to save him from the woke wastrels."
It follows 53-year-old Daniel Craig making his final appearance as Bond in No Time To Die, the latest film in the global spy franchise which had its world premiere in London on Tuesday (28 September).

Piers took a savage swipe at Daniel Craig himself for wearing a suede pink jacket along with a white shirt and bow tie, comparing his look to an "Austin Powers tribute act."
He wrote: "O dear O (7) dear.
"James Bond would never wear a garish pink suede dinner jacket. You’re supposed to be a steely-eyed assassin with exemplary sartorial taste, Mr Craig…. not an Austin Powers tribute act."
