Angelina Jolies love life – Brad split, blood tribute and The Weeknd romance08/23/2021
Angelina Jolie may not have dated many people over the years, but her serious relationships have still gathered attention ever since she stepped foot into the spotlight in the '90s.
In fact, one of her relationships prior to her acting debut is still well-known and controversial, despite only lasting two years and taking place when the actress was just a teen.
The beauty has been married to a man three times, dated one woman and now speculation has started to surround her relationship with The Weeknd.
Almost five years after Angelina and Brad called time on their romance, Daily Star Online has looked into her love life from her childhood sweetheart to the potential new suitors.
Angelina kept her young love life very close to her chest after getting her first boyfriend at 14-years-old. Even in the years that followed she never chose to share his identity.
At just 14, their relationship was incredibly serious, with him moving in with Angelina and her mother when they were teenagers.
In 2003, Angelina defended her mother's decision, saying: "When I was 14, I was either going to be reckless on the streets with my boyfriend or he was going to be with me in my bedroom with my mum in the next room.
"I continued to go to school every morning and explored my first relationship in a safe way. So in some strange way, she really did the right thing. It kept me out of trouble."
Once Angelina turned 16 their young love fizzled out as she chose to focus on her acting career.
Jonny Lee Miller
Although Angelina ultimately went on to marry Jonny Lee Miller, they dated prior to their nuptials. The pair first met in 1994 while filming Hackers and they started dating, though they fell out of touch after production wrapped.
It wasn't too long before the pair rekindled once more as they reunited and eloped in 1996, in a small ceremony, attended by Angelina's mother and a close friend of Jonny.
One stand out thing from their wedding was certainly the attire, with Angelina donning a T-shirt with Jonny Lee Miller's name written on it in her own blood.
The pair separated the following year, but made their divorce official in 1999.
When Angelina lost touch with Jonny prior to their marriage, she started seeing her co-star Jenny Shimizu.
Although the romance was short, it was very telling for Angelina, with her telling Rolling Stone in 2001: "It has never crossed my mind that I was going to one day experiment with or kiss a woman. It was never something I was looking for.
"I just happened to fall for a girl."
Their romance soon fizzled out and Angelina reconnected with Jonny, leading to their 1996 wedding.
Billy Bob Thornton
Angelina and Billy Bob Thornton married in 2000, but it wasn't meant to be as the pair split up in 2002 and divorced in 2003.
With their busy careers, the pair were away from one another a lot, but they figured out a way to always stay close, but it certainly caused a lot of controversy.
The couple famously wore necklaces with their blood in them, though Billy later said that they "smeared a little blood" onto the lockets.
They wanted to wear the necklace whenever they were apart from one another on a job, but despite the chains, they still ended their romance after a three year marriage.
In one of the most scandalous yet praised love stories, Brad and Angelina were one of the biggest couples in showbiz until their split in 2017.
The pair met in 2004 while on the set or Mr and Mrs Smith, but at the time, Brad was married to Jennifer Aniston and they had been husband and wife for four years.
However, in 2005 they called time on their relationship after "thoughtful consideration", later that year Brad and Angelina officially become a couple.
The pair adopted two children together and welcomed three biological children too, before marrying in a private ceremony in 2014.
In 2018 Angelina filed for divorce and the pair put an end to the famously known 'Brangelina' as the pair were single once more.
Few people have been linked to Angelina since her split from Brad, but The Weeknd is one of them, though it has been stated that their dinner date could have been purely professional.
In July the pair were spotted at a restaurant together in Los Angeles, reportedly spending hours at the restaurant and left separately to "avoid raising suspicion".
A source close to The Weeknd told Page Six that the singer was interested in the movie business, suggesting that he could have been picking the brains of Angelina.
