A scorned woman took revenge on her ‘cheating ex’ by hammering the letters ‘FU’ into the wall of his home – before adding a sassy sign-off in huge graffiti writing underneath it.
Ashley VanPevenage, from Washington, filmed herself enacting her prank on an ex-boyfriend, claiming in a TikTok video that she had ‘caught him cheating’ and decided to seek vengeance for his infidelity.
In the clip, Ashley is seen using a hammer to make large holes in the wall of a home – believed to be the property that her ex lives in – carving out the letters ‘FU’ before writing ‘Love your ex’ underneath in black and pink spray paint.
Payback: A woman has filmed herself seeking revenge on a ‘cheating ex’ by hammering the letters ‘FU’ into the wall of a property that is believed to be his home
Vengeance: Ashley VanPevenage, from Washington, shared the video of herself on TikTok, revealing in the caption that she planned the brand after ‘catching her ex cheating’
She ends the video, which was set to the soundtrack of Carrie Underwood’s hit song ‘Before He Cheats’, by blowing a kiss into the camera, while proudly standing in front of the destroyed wall.
Controversy: The clip racked up more than 10 million views in just 18 hours – but users were split over whether the prank was justified, or whether Ashley went over the top
Ashley’s revenge prank caused quite the stir among viewers, many of whom were torn over whether she was justified in her actions – or whether she had taken things way too far.
Some even pointed out that Ashley could face criminal charges for the prank, with one writing: ‘I don’t know why anyone is supporting this, move on. You’re committing a crime and if anything it makes you look weaker because you cared that much.’
Another chimed in: ‘[The ex] is using this vid in court for sure.’
‘That’s trespassing and vandalism,’ wrote a third.
It is unclear whether Ashley gained access to the property illegally, or whether she was a resident in the home before separating from her ex – however if she did trespass, she could potentially be charged with a misdemeanor that is punishable by up to 90 days in jail, or a $1,000 fine.
Intentional property damage – known in the state of Washington as malicious mischief – is a more serious crime and is treated as a felony.
If the cost of the damage is less than $750, it is punishable by up to 365 days in jail and a $5,000 fine. Anything that costs up to $5,000 carries a much more severe consequence: a maximum sentence of up to five years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
However the exact details of Ashley’s revenge prank are not known – and the severe nature of her vengeance didn’t stop some from supporting the move.
Several TikTok users even admitted that they would likely lash out in a similar fashion if they learned that a partner had been cheating on them.
‘That’s what I would do too!’ one person confessed, while another wrote: ‘She ain’t done nothing wrong. Just some interior design.’
‘Yes girl! Do it again! He deserves it!’ one other added.
Habit: Just over a week ago, Ashley filmed herself wrapping her ex’s car in cling wrap and toilet paper – although it is not known whether the vehicle belonged to the same man

The viral video received more than 10 million views in less than 24 hours – and was flooded with upwards of 64,000 comments from stunned TikTok users. It is unclear whether Ashley’s ex has yet to see the damage.
However this is not the first time that she has recorded herself getting payback on a former partner.
Just over a week ago, Ashley posted a video that showed her covering an ex boyfriend’s car in toilet paper and cling wrap, revealing once again that she did the prank as vengeance for his infidelity.
‘Payback’s a b****,’ she captioned the clip.
It is not known whether the owner of the car is the same man as the one Ashley was trying to get even with in her new video – although she suggested in the original clip that she was planning more pranks on the person.
‘Just wait,’ she wrote. ‘The best is yet to come.’
