Sainsburys roasted for slashing cost of Corona beer – by just 1p

Now it's safe to say that most of us love a bargain – especially with the current cost of living crisis.

The shopper posted a snap of the beers as they mocked the reduction on the online forum.

They chuckled: "Found the deal of the century in Sainsbury’s. 1p discount for the pleasure of having your beers wrapped in cling film? "Get in my basket."

One person commented: "Prices going down like this might cause a deflationary spiral."

Another user chuckled: "Well worth it."

A third person voiced: "What a waste of plastic."

Someone else giggled: "They just heard that clingfilm is a good way to isolate the 'rona…"

Daily Star has contacted Sainsbury's for comment.

Elsewhere, people told Sainsbury's that they had gone 'too far' with their £1 'vile' Easter treat.
