Kim Zolciak posted about getting boozy at Chili’s one day after her former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star, NeNe Leakes, accused her of racism in a bombshell lawsuit.
Zolciak uploaded photos and videos of her margarita-filled happy hour on Instagram Thursday following news that Leakes is suing the companies behind the Bravo reality show over allegations that they “tolerated — if not, encouraged” Zolciak’s “racially-insensitive and inappropriate behavior.”
Zolciak’s 10-slide carousel includes a selfie with husband Kroy Biermann from inside the chain restaurant, a video showing the “Tardy for the Party” hitmaker shimmying her shoulders while clutching onto her “Presidente Margarita” and a short clip of an older female server who “reminds” the reality star of her late psychic, Rose.
The next slide features a black Escalade pulling up to the establishment. In the car were Zolciak’s oldest daughters, Brielle Biermann, 25, and Ariana Biermann, 20.
“OK, so now, Kroy’s gonna take the Escalade and pick up the [younger] kids [from school], and Brielle’s gonna drive me,” Zolciak explained in the next clip, noting that she never risks drinking and driving, whether it’s “one margarita, two or five or 20.”
In the next video, Kolciak asked for prayers due to Brielle’s driving, at which point the latter informed her mom that they were going to “the good Starbucks” and not straight home.
“She’s passing my f–king exit!” Zolciak shouted in the next slide, prompting Brielle to turn up the City Girls song that was blasting. “Pay attention to the freaking road!” Zolciak begged.
“Stop at the gas station? Check. Stop at Starbucks? Check. Drive f–king horrible? Check. Blare music to gimme a migraine? Check. Almost home? NO CHECK!” she screamed into the phone.
While she noted in her caption that the boozy afternoon happened on Tuesday, Zolciak seemingly made it a point to post about it after Leakes’ claims made headlines.
Though Zolciak was not named as a defendant in the Wednesday filing, her name was all over the suit.
It alleges that during “RHOA” Season 1, the cast was planning to attend a barbecue — an idea Zolciak allegedly responded to with “words to the effect of: ‘I don’t want to sit around with NeNe and eat chicken.’”
In 2012, during Season 5, the suit alleges Zolciak made “racially offensive and stereotypical” comments about the new home of cast member Kandi Burruss, calling her neighborhood a “ghetto” and making a remark about whether Burruss needed a swimming pool.
That same year, the suit alleges, Zolciak used the N-word in reference to Leakes and some of her other Black co-stars. It also alleges that Zolciak called Leakes’ home a “roach nest” and implied she used drugs.
According to Leakes’ lawyer, she was “the target of systemic racism from [Zolciak], which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives.”
In addition to Bravo and Cohen, the suit also names NBCUniversal, True Entertainment and Truly Original as defendants.
Requests for comment sent to Zolciak and the other defendants were not immediately returned to the Associated Press.
