I want to have sex with my partner but I’m lucky if I get a kiss on the cheek – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: SEX is a no-no and the lack of bedroom action is leaving me tense and frustrated. I feel more like a lodger than a guy in a relationship.

I am 35, my partner is 32 and our daughter is six. We split up some months ago and she had two relationships with guys she’d met online. They both abused her and it has left her emotionally scarred.

Our daughter is happy that Mum and Dad are back together but it was a mistake. My partner just lies on the sofa all day playing with her phone. I’m lucky if I get a hug or a kiss on the cheek.

If I complain, she says I am lucky to have a roof over my head as the house is in her name. I don’t want to upset our daughter by leaving.

DEIDRE SAYS: You can still be a good dad and play an important role in your daughter’s life, even if you are apart from her mum.

In fact, how involved a mum is your partner?

Would your daughter be better cared for living with you?

Your partner sounds depressed, so suggest she talk to her doctor.
