A Playboy bunny is what most girls wanted to be at the height of Hugh Hefner's empire.

They first debuted in the world back in 1960 and have gone onto become one of the most iconic uniforms but wearing them comes at a cost.

Consisting of waist-cinching corsets, satin ears, and a fluffy tail, they never failed to capture the male gaze.

The corset-like suits were actually pretty tricky to get into according to Hugh's longest partner Holly Jean Madison.

Holly, 41, who is now a mother-of-two, explained that she would have to breathe all her air out before the suit could ever be zipped up.

In a TikTok video, Holly revealed what the costume was like to wear after a fan asked her: "Do you still own a Playboy outfit? If so can we see you in it??"

Holly answered: "I do still own those outfits."

She then flashed up on the screen behind her a picture of her wearing the iconic black bodysuit covered in black Swarovski.

The star said: "I have this one that is covered in Swarovski crystals and I have my first just regular black one and I have a hot pink one."

Holly then explained why you will never see her wear the costumes again and it came with a gruelling fact about the iconic bunny look.

She explained how she can not fit into the costumes now as her ribs expanded while having her two children and the corset won't do up over her rib cage now.

"But you will not see me wearing them because I've had two kids since then and one thing nobody talks about with pregnancy is that your rib cage will expand about an inch in circumference," said Holly.

She continued: "Your baby needs more oxygen so it needs more space and the ribs don't go back to normal after."

On why this stops the costume from fitting her, Holly explained that she had to breathe in deep before it could be zipped up during her Playboy days.

Holly recalled: "So when I would get zipped up in this suit the tightest part was right here on my ribcage and I would have to breathe out all the oxygen from my lungs just so the zipper could get up.

"Then I could breathe after that," she laughed.

Continuing she said: "But I just haven't even tried them on because I just know my ribs aren't what they used to be so I don't think it would zip up past that point."

Holly wore the black Swarovski suit to Playboy's 50th anniversary at The Palms Casino Resort on June 10, 2010, in Las Vegas.

The star also recently opened up on how she struggled with body dysmorphia while working at the Playboy Mansion.

She recently looked back at her old photos and saw one of her in a Bunny costume.

Sharing the picture to her 1 million fans on TikTok, Holly said: "It reminded me of a moment in my life where I was watching a playback of myself in a fashion show and I thought, 'Oh, my God, I need to lose weight.'"

The model realised that body dysmorphia got in the way of her living her best life, adding: "It stopped me from being as happy as I could be and really enjoying life as much as I could.

"I hope that people can take a minute to think about how they think about their own body and is it holding you back?

"It's worth feeling bad about yourself."

Recently, Playmate Jenna Bentley revealed what it was like to live inside the iconic mansion.

Meanwhile, a woman achieved her Playboy dreams after becoming a mum.
