David Boreanaz has many strings to his bow as an actor, producer and director. The 51-year-old star rose to fame for his role as Angel in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and its spin-off series, named after his character. Fans are keen to find out his net worth and Express.co.uk has all you need to know.

What is Buffy star David Boreanaz worth?

David Boreanaz was born in New York with a TV presenter father and a travel agent mother.

He was a keen athlete in school and he went on to study cinema and photography at degree-level.

Boreanaz moved to LA to find acting work but struggled to land any big roles, mainly appearing as an extra in TV and film.

His breakthrough role was in Buffy in 1997, and he went on to play the role until the Angel series came to an end in 2004.

After leaving the Buffy franchise, he went on to star in the TV series Bones and SEAL Team.

According to thewealthrecord.com, as of 2021 Boreanaz has a net worth of more than $35million (£25.2million).

The site suggests that for some series he was paid up to $250,000 (£179,000) per episode.

Celebritynetworth says he was earning this amount for each Bones episode, in which he played Seeley Booth between 2005 and 2017.

The father-of-two also served as a producer and director for some of the episodes.

He has been married to model and actress Jaime Bergman since 2001.

The star went from landing uncredited film roles in 1993 to landing a world-famous role as Angel just four years later.

He featured in a total of 57 Buffy episodes and this was followed by 110 episodes of Angel.

Back in 2019, he took part in an interview with Access Daily and said it was bizarre to look back at his time on Buffy.

He said: “I look very young, I just remember the coat being a lot of velvet and they didn’t know whether to do the make-up like really pale because he was a vampire.

“I look at that and think, ‘Wow that was a long time ago.’ I must have been 27 I think.”

The hosts showed him a photo of himself as Angel and he said he “recognised his kids” in that picture, saying he noticed the resemblance.

They went on to list the number of years he spent on each of his major shows and the hosts joked about how rich he must be.

He said it was a “blessing” to have spent so much time on so many huge series.

One fan said on YouTube: “He’s had a career that most actors would kill for. He’s been working non-stop since the mid-90s.”

Another said: “David has had one of the best careers out of any actors on TV in recent history from Buffy, then Angel, then Bones and now Seal Team all back to back.

“That’s rare for an actor to be that lucky and be on shows that last more then a couple of seasons without being cancelled.”

Superfans may also remember him as one of the main stars of Dido’s White Flag music video back in 2003.

Boreanaz has continued to stay friends with many of his previous co-stars, including Charisma Carpenter from Buffy and Angel, and Emily Deschanel from Bones.
