After all, this year has been extremely tough, so you’d be forgiven if you wanted to treat yourself.
But before you tuck into your Christmas pudding, you might want to take a glance at some alarming stats.

GolfSupport.com have worked out how many calories are in your average Christmas dinner – and how much exercise it would take to burn off.
A standard Christmas dinner, with turkey and pigs in blankets, comes in at a whopping 1,378 calories.

If you were to swap out the turkey, pigs in blankets and stuffing for a nut roast, you’d be consuming 966 calories.
In order to burn off those calories, you’d need to complete a pretty intense workout.
You would have to go for a 132 minute jog to burn off the whole turkey dinner, or 107 for a nut roast dinner.

Here is a breakdown of how long it would take you to burn the most calorific items.
To burn off the pigs in blankets along you would have to do 1,350 squats, 430 burpees, 532 lunges, 27 1-minute planks or 27 minutes of jogging.
For a portion of cauliflower cheese you would have to do 1,125 squats, 360 burpees, 470 lunges, 24 1-minute planks or 23 minutes of jogging.
If you wanted to burn off the nut roast you would have to do 1035 squats, 320 burpees, 390 lunges, 20 1-minute planks or a 19 minute jog.

In order to work off those yummy Yorkshire puds you'd have to go for an 18 minute jog.
