Vans Anaheim Factory Unveils New Needlepoint Authentic 44 DX and Apparel Capsule

06/15/2021

Vans‘ history of DIY shoes dates all the way back to the mid-1970s and ’80s, and during this era the skate imprint would have inventory of needlepoint kits to sell to their consumers so that they could personalize their kicks as they so pleased. And so to pay homage to this time period, the Anaheim-headquartered company is delivering a trio of Authentic 44 DX colorways with matching apparel that are all inspired by needlework art.

The footwear capsule features three new styles that are all equipped with a full knit build and creamy tone, but each pair deviates with different all-over patterns. The first two offerings are playful as one is covered in classic multi-color checkerboard patterns while the other invites in red and orange rose patterns embedded into the upper. The last sibling opts for simple black skull patterns pasted throughout the base for a clean look. Alongside the kicks are matching apparel pieces including a beige chore jacket and short-sleeved tee that are marked with the same floral patterns as one the shoes in the assortment.

If interested, the whole Vans Anaheim Factory Collection is available now on the Vans web store.

Recently, Vans unveiled its “Tartan Daze” footwear collection for Fall/Winter 2021.
